Probationers Training of Indian Railway 

National Academy of Indian Railways (NAIR) is the Centralized Training Institute for the training of Indian Railways Personnel Service (IRPS), Indian Railways Store Service (IRSS) and Indian Railways Health Service (IRHS) Probationers.

IRPS and IRSS Probationers undergo 78 weeks training whereas IRHS Probationers undergo 14 weeks of training.

 

Out of the 78 weeks training for the IRPS & IRSS Probationers, 14 weeks are common (10 weeks Group ‘A’ Foundation Programme and 4 weeks Group ‘A’ Induction Programme).

For the remaining weeks, they have to do service-specific training at NAIR, other CTIs of Indian Railways, Parliament attachment and field training in the Zonal Railways, Head Quarters, Divisions, Production units, Workshops, PSUs and other Govt. Departments etc.

14 weeks training of IRHS Probationers is comprised of 05 weeks Foundation Training, 02 weeks Induction Training and 07 weeks Field Training.
